Calorie Estimator
Calorie Estimator
The easy way to compare the calories you’re consumed vs burnt.
Works best with Apple Watch.
Simply wear it all-day and watch your numbers tick up as you move around, record workouts and track your meals.
Set your own BMR.
Fine-tune your resting calorie estimate with your own custom BMR. Live estimates in the app will use that number instead of resting calories from Apple Health.

Your Apple Watch automatically records both resting and non-exercise energy (as active calories) throughout the day. For the most accurate estimates, keep your weight updated in Apple Health, as changes in weight affect your resting calorie calculations.
Choose your tracking preference:
Use Apple Watch estimates: Set Custom Value to OFF
Use your own baseline (from online calculators): Set Custom Value to ON
Active calories from workouts will sync automatically when completed.
-
If you only wear your Apple Watch during workouts:
Active calories will automatically sync after each workout
Set Custom Value to ON
Enter a daily resting calorie estimate that accounts for your overall activity level, not just your BMR (this covers everyday movements like climbing stairs that the watch won't track)
-
For non-Apple fitness devices that sync with iPhone:
Set Custom Value to ON
If your device tracks non-exercise calories as active calories: Enter your BMR
If not: Enter a resting calorie estimate that matches your activity level
While you can use HealthKit to read resting calories, different devices sync at varying intervals. Some manufacturers (like Garmin) only sync at day's end, requiring manual syncs through their companion app. For this reason, we recommend keeping Custom Value ON for more consistent resting calorie updates.
-
When using a non-Apple fitness device that syncs with iPhone:
Set Custom Value to ON
Enter a resting calorie estimate based on your typical activity level
To track your workouts, you have two options:
Connect to Apple Health: Manually sync your device's companion app after workouts to update your active calories
Manual Entry: Disconnect from Apple Health and use an iOS shortcut to add active calories after each workout
A one time purchase, no subscriptions, no surprises.
